Me, VallecitoLake

Me, Vallecito Lake, with cutthroat trout. I’m wearing my favorite mountain sweater, with my ENSA (Ecole National de Ski et d’Alpinisme) pin on it. Below my belt of 1/2″ webbing one can see my Phi Beta Kappa key, attached by chain to my pocket watch. The students called me “weird beard”.

I returned to my doctoral program at Harvard in the fall. But I became discontented, and dropped out, to direct an Outward Bound-style program in New Mexico. Here is the link to the post that discusses my reasons for dropping out:
