Avarice is defined as: “extreme greed for wealth or material gain”. Well … the USA has not seen this level of avarice since the Gilded Age (the period preceding the Great Depression). To the Republican Party, nothing is sacred, it seems. They are going after every last cent that can be wrung out of the American land and people. Their latest effort is to sell off the public lands – the one thing that makes this country, more than anything else, so very special. Let them just try it. It will provoke a civil war, and I’ll be there.

What will we be fighting for?
