Naomi Klein’s “This Changes Everything” – a review

Naomi Klein spares us nothing, in describing, in pain-staking (and painful) detail, the trouble we are in, and who is responsible for that trouble. What trouble? The trouble we call climate change, and the culprit – extractivist capitalism.

Aside from the climate change deniers, few of us are unaware of the real dangers posed by climate change. Climate change does indeed “change everything”. But … have we considered, each of us, the extent to which we may have to go, to force our governments to slow and then stop climate change? Is it, indeed, possible? The author looks at other mass transformative movements, like that to abolish slavery, and is cautiously optimistic that such a movement can and will arise. This book will help to bring that about.
