New Mexico Tech Wilderness Encounter, Guadalupe Mountains, NP, Texas, 1971

From 1971 to 1973, I directed the Dep’t. of Physical Recreation and taught Anthropology at New Mexico Tech, in Socorro. I was hired to create an Outward Bound-style outdoor program. Myself and students did hiking, climbing, cross-country and downhill skiing and caving trips all over New Mexico and neighboring states. Shown here is a hike we took into N. McKittrick Canyon. Included is one photo of El Capitan, a prominent peak.
