Southwest Airlines – Oakland to Albuquerque


The flight went first over the Sacramento-San Joaquin delta, then up the Mokelumne River, with Tahoe visible to the north. We next flew past Walker Lake, in Nevada, then the Toiyabe Range. Clouds obscured the ground until we were over Utah, when, to my surprise, we passed over Lake Powell, and I was able to identify Bull Frog Basin and the upper part of the lake. Comb Ridge and the San Juan river came next. I used my little Lumix, and took the following photos, all of which were to the north of the plane:
