Fall Fishing on the Rio Grande, continued some more

The BWO mayfly hatch continues, with fish rising all over the place. The water clarity also continues to improve, to over 3 feet. And there wasn’t a breath of wind today. I had over 12 takes during a 2 and a half hour period, on a variety of #20 or 22 dry flies on 6X tippet.

The foliage and the reflections of the foliage were also out-of-this-world. Here’s some shots from Petaca CG and area, where I was fishing. Oh … and there was a herd of bighorns on the slope across the river – again!

It’s become downright psychedelic out there.
