Waking up on most mornings is a relief – a relief from the horrible dreams I’m having. Dreams that I’m on the run, that everything has been taken from me, that my wife wants out of the marriage, that I have to go back to New York City ….

Thank God none of that is so, I can say. “What a relief!”

But, I’ll have those dreams again, whenever I sleep. I cannot, it appears, get away from my head, so full of fears.
